11th April 2008 - In The Studio recording 2 albums "A SLICE OF LENNON" and "LENNON LOVE"

 

Marcus Cahill and his IMAGINE band are busy in the recording studio putting down tracks for their 2nd and 3rd albums "A SLICE OF LENNON" and "LENNON LOVE" which both promise to be a FAB follow-ups to their already successful 1st album "THE SOUND OF LENNON". The albums are being recorded at the world famous ALL IN ONE STUDIOS and will be available from this website. I spoke with Marcus recently and he said "Things are turning out nicely, I'm really pleased...I've chosen some great John songs and its been a real pleasure to record both albums"~Marcus Cahill

30th January 2008 - SChERtLER Guitar Clinics - featuring Marcus Cahill

 

Marcus Cahill will be performing guitar clinics around the world endorsing Schertler products. Marcus will demonstrate their guitars and amplifiers in his clinics and of course will be performing John Lennon classics on these amazing instruments.

Schertler prides itself in the reproduction of sound for acoustic stringed instruments and Marcus is very honoured to be associated with this amazing company and its products and looks forward to doing the clinics in a city near you.

8th December 2007 - John Lennon Memorial Concert

 

The 8th of December 2007 marked the 27th anniversary of John Lennon's passing. Marcus and his show performed to a sell out crowd at The Swan Valley Oasis Hotel in Perth, Western Australia. John will be sadly missed, but his music and legend will live on forever.

 

4th November 2007 - USA Tour in 2008

 

More discussions are on the way for our tour in 2008 and DR STRINGS are getting behind us, with New York City possibly on the horizon amongst some other cities. More information as it happens.

 

12th September 2007 - The First Lady of Georgia, Russia

 

During this years Beatle Week in Liverpool, Marcus had the honour of performing for The First Lady of Georgia, Russia. And after an outstanding performance at the worlds most famous club "The Cavern", Marcus was given a personal invitation to come and perform in Tiblisi, Georgia, Russia.

 

20th August 2007 - International Beatle Week 2007


Marcus will be appearing during this years Beatle Week in Liverpool, UK. This will be Marcus' second Beatle Week and has already been invited back for 2008.

Marcus performed his solo John Lennon show to a sold out crowd and wowed them with his antics and John Lennon & Beatles tunes.

7th June 2007 - AUSTRALIAN BEATLES FESTIVAL


IMAGINE The Tribute and Marcus head to Adelaide, South Australia for the Australian Beatles Festival, which is 3 day festival devoted to The Beatles get your ticket at the door if you havent already got one.

The festival happens annually on the long weekend in June (usually the first weekend of June).

After 31 shows on TCFM Marcus has had to say "goodbye for now" to Twincities FM and his now famed "The Beatles Show" due to "IMAGINE The Tribute" show committments.

This is Marcus' second time to be part of the most famous Beatles Festival in the world.

Outback Blues - Twincities FM recently hosted a concert in aid of raising funds for the station, Marcus offered to help out as sound engineer for the 3 blues bands that were to perform during the concert, only to find that one of the acts wasn't going to make it. Marcus soon found himself opening the concert, the audience warmed to his charm and talent instantly and a splendid night proceeded.


1st February 2007 - IMAGINE The Tribute


Recently due to issues with using the trademark of "John Lennon". We were forced to close down the old website and show "IMAGINE John Lennon".


Starting Over with a new show name "IMAGINE The Tribute" we decided it was time to introduce the new show format we've been working on.

Leo Sayer celebrated his birthday in Perth, Western Australia on this date and Marcus was among the lucky few that got to celebrate it with him. Leo still sounds as great as ever and is enjoying his current chart topping success with the remake/remix of his 1977 ”Thunder In My Heart“. Congratulations on being No.1 again Leo.....looking forward to hearing the remake/remix of "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing". Happy Birthday once again Leo.

24th November 2005 - Imagine John Lennon on the Radio (Twin Cities FM)

 

Twin Cities FM will be featuring Marcus twice this Sunday, he'll be chatting about John Lennon and the up and coming show at The Dusk Lounge in Perth, Western Australia on the 3rd December, commemorating John's 25th Anniversary. You'll also here some songs from "The Sound of Lennon" our current album. Marcus will be on-air from 9am to 10am on "The Caledonian Connection" with presenter Ian and later on again on "Celtic Heartbeat" with presenter Patrick (89.7fm on your dial if you live in Perth)


13th November 2005 - Imagine John Lennon Memorial Concert

 

8th December 2005, Marcus will be performing at The Cavern Adelaide as part of the Imagine John Lennon Memorial Concert, commemorating John's 25th Anniversary. Featuring Stevie Wright from The Easybeats, members of The Fab Four, and of course Marcus (Imagine John Lennon) and a host of other local Adelaide talent, all headed up by an All Star Band.

Marcus returns from his first "Abbey Road on the River" Beatles festival in Louisville, Kentucky, USA and appearances on FOX41 breakfast television show "Fox in the Morning". Marcus is to make an appearance on FOX IN THE MORNING, FOX41, Kentucky, KY. FOX IN THE MORNING airing each weekday from 5AM to 9AM. Morning Anchors Barry Bernson and Candyce Clifft present an eclectic mix of feature stories, interviews, entertainment, and commentary, with a strong local emphasis. Marcus to make an appearance on BREAKFAST TELEVISION, ATV, Halifax, NS. ASN's signature program, Breakfast Television (BT), is the most popular morning show in the Maritimes. Broadcast from the ATV studios in Halifax from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., BT is carried in its entirety on ASN, while the first half hour of the show is carried on ATV. BT also features daily musical performances from emerging and established Maritime musicians and Marcus will be appearing on this show on the 3rd June 2005

This is the 2nd time for Imagine John Lennon to perform at The Australian Beatles Festival, actually this is the 2nd Australian Beatles Festival and Marcus is very proud to be a part of the festival again this year.

The 5th Edition of the Semana Beatle de Latinoamérica has invited Marcus to play at their 2005 festival.

The festival is held at The Cavern Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It will be paying tribute to John Lennon.

24th August 2004 - Melbourne Radio Interview 9th October 2004

 

Marcus will be doing an interview for Melbourne based Radio Station 979fm. He will be on Ed Story's "Off The Beatle Track"segment (9th October 2004 - 8pm-12pm). Marcus will be chatting with Ed about John and The Beatles. Ed will be playing all night Lennon and Beatles requests, to celebrate what would be John's 64th birthday.


23rd August 2004 - TV show Telethon, 6th November 2004

 

Marcus passes the audition for Australian TV show Telethon, which will air on Channel 7 (Nov 6th @ 8:30pm) Marcus will be performing John's hit song "IMAGINE" live on a white piano, to an estimated audience of 2,500+ and an estimated television audience of 20,000,000+. This year, Telethon is televised from 7:30pm Saturday 6th November until 8:30pm Sunday 7th November live from the PERTH CONVENTION EXHIBITION CENTRE!

 

Telethon 2004 promises to be bigger and better than ever with the event attracting the best talent from the Seven Network, along with national and international entertainers and celebrities.You can attend by donating a gold coin at the door, all money raised will go towards a range of charitable organisations.

24th July 2004 - Imagine John Lennon in the studio (Tribute CD)

 

Imagine John Lennon goes into the studio and starts recording what should prove to be a wonderful collection of Beatles and John Lennon songs for compilation on a tribute CD.


21st June 2004 - Marcus returns from Australian Beatles Festival

 

Marcus returns from The Australian Beatles Festival in Adelaide and his visits to Melbourne and Sydney, where he met some very famous people (Pete Best, Julia Baird) along the way.

Marcus meets Bill Heckle director and co-owner of The Cavern Liverpool and gets invited to play in the Beatle Week Festival in Liverpool in August 2005, where he will be playing in the famous Cavern...and other venues during the festival.

Marcus gets invited to attend the Lord Mayor 'Michael Harbison' of Adelaide VIP party on the 10th of June. A invite which Marcus graciously accepted.

THE FIRST AUSTRALIAN BEATLES FESTIVAL 

Held in Adelaide, South Australia June 11th to 14th 2004, To mark exact to the day

"THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR OF THE BEATLES TO ADELAIDE"

In conjunction with the first Beatles Festival will be the grand opening of Australia's very own CAVERN, which is OFFICIALLY SUPPORTED & LICENSED BY CAVERN CITY TOURS LTD

The organizers have gone to great lengths to keep even the biggest Beatles fans happy, with some very special guest appearances from around the world.

It will feature tribute bands as well as jazz ensembles, choirs and concert bands and pop bands playing Beatles songs.

A large range of Beatles memorabilia will also be brought together including photographs from the 1964 Australian tour, rare archival footage and a display of fashions from the period.
