Gibson Guitar's Custom Shop has introduced the latest addition to its Inspired By series of guitars, a Les Paul Junior created to reflect the modifications and aging of the instrument owned by John Lennon and played by him on August 30, 1972, at the Madison Square Garden concert to benefit the One to One Organization. In order to authentically recreate Lennon's LPJ, Gibson's Custom Shop received Yoko Ono's permission to conduct a complete hands-on review of the original, which is now on display at the John Lennon Museum in Tokyo. This guitar retails for +13k thats $13,000....sadly this may be as close Marcus will ever come to having one.

 

Collectors all over the world have been waiting for this: to commemorate 120years of Höfner we are producing a strictly limited series of the Club 40 in exactly the version which was played by John Lennon.

The pick-up delivers not only the original vintage single coil tone but also a full humbucker sound. Our Master Luthiers designed it this way in order to preserve authenticity for the benefit of the collector, while at the same time improving the versatility for today’s guitarist.

LENNON LOVE is due for a NOVEMBER 2008 release, fans all over the world are looking forward to see what the "IMAGINE The Tribute" boys have installed for them this time.

During Beatle Week in Liverpool 2007, Marcus had the honour of performing for The First Lady of Georgia, Russia (Sandra Roelofs-Saakashvili).

And after an amazing 2hr performance at the worlds most famous club "The Cavern", Marcus was given high praise and a very expensive bottle of wine and an invitation to come and perform in Tiblisi, Georgia, Russia.

However sadly due to the current economy there, it is rather difficult to organise.
